This project involved the renovation and expansion of a manor house in Ponta Delgada. Aesthetically, we seek to maintain a classic language, typical of the memory of the place. The house, of high-quality construction, is characterised by its neoclassical style from the mid-19th century, and boasts decorative architectural elements typical of the time, such as pediments on the windows and doors, friezes, corbels, plinths and cornerstones.
Round arches, with a keystone at the top, as well as the balustrade, also make up the house. Our architectural proposal results from a classical aesthetic inspiration that aims to create the necessary conditions for a distinct and contemporary experience without any break with the memory of the place. This is a two-storey house with four suites.
On the ground floor we have the entrance hall, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room, a guest bathroom, a utility room, a bedroom (with an ensuite bathroom with disabled access), a French-style garden, and a swimming pool that faces the arches flanking the hall, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room. The first floor houses three bedrooms (suites) and a large terrace.
